PRESTON BAILEY • THE BEARDED TRUMPET
TRUMPET LESSONS FOR FUN PEOPLE.
Hi! I’m Preston Bailey.
You probably (who am I kidding, DEFINITELY) don’t know my name, but chances are you’ve heard me play trumpet (unless you live in a tiny cave without Netflix, or video games, or other cool things.)
I’ve been teaching lessons for roughly a million years, and I would love to help you become a better trumpet player – if you’ll let me.
Whether you’re a beginner or a pro,
in need of weekly lessons to up your trumpet-playing game, or someone to help you prep for that big audition, I’m your (bearded) trumpet man.
“I have been fortunate to be a student of Preston’s, as well as a colleague. While I was getting my undergraduate degree, Preston was my orchestral excerpts teacher. He was an incredible teacher as he greets every problem with compassion and excitement for progress. He helped me gain confidence and control over many aspects of my playing. His love of music and passion for excellence makes him an encouraging and inspiring mentor. As a colleague, Preston has been supportive, welcoming, and encouraging. Preston will always have your best interest in mind. Each student he teaches is lucky to have such an inspiring mentor. And as an added bonus, you get to listen to his subtle country twang as he talks!”

“There are not enough words to explain how grateful I am to have found Preston Bailey. I was struggling as a musician, I had hit a wall and every turn felt like another slap in the face. That’s when my mom said “Hey, I found this guy online, why don’t we give him a try?” From the first consultation Zoom call, I could already tell Preston was going to shift my musical path for the better. Throughout months of patient work and a multitude of successes, my perspective on music and my artform was forever shifted. If it had not been for Preston, I would have quit music. I am now continuing music in college, and looking into community bands to continue my craft forever. I have Preston to thank for my continual growth, not only in my playing, but in helping ensure I have the proper mentality to continue doing what I love.”

I love teaching and helping others be better musicians. We all know that’s not all about playing music, but how we take care of ourselves and our instruments.
